These past couple of years we witnessed crazy designs and loud paint jobs taking over the bike world, veering from the stealth look everyone was on back then. But among these heat-sensitive paint and out-of-this-world graphics, there are still a few that still has a soft spot for blacked-out bikes.
"I took inspiration from Patrick Seabase's Brascona, and the Standert Umlaufbahn. I always wanted a light standard track for criteriums and long rides." says Erik. "I'm a fan of Garret Chow and MASH, and I've followed the development of the Parallax from the prototypes, to streets, and eventually when they raced Red Hook. And not to mention the tight clearances that we love on our Ave Maldea frames, the Parallax has it all."
Aside from bikes, Erik is also an avid fan of motorcycles and the outdoors. "I'm currently working on my scrambler right now, but after this I'm planning to build a steel cyclocross frame for light trails and touring."
